The NEW Miracle on the Hudson

With all due credit to Capt. Sully Sullenberger, the pilot who miraculously landed a commercial jetliner on/in the Hudson River, I think an even greater miracle has happened in New York City. That miracle is that the Yankees have acquired–finally–the all-star 3rd baseman they were shopping for 6 years ago. Apparently, this young upstart’s name is Alex Rodriguez and is quite the clutch performer. His stats for the 3-game series vs. the Minnesota Twins were outstanding as well as timely in nearly every case:

In 11 AB: 2 HR, 6 RBI, .455 BA, 1.000 SLG

And, yes, I’m well aware that Yankee Stadium is located along the banks of the Harlem River. If you still don’t get it, read a newspaper.
